Roundtable

.

      Excavators – NA

      Utilities – NA

      Locators –

o   Mike Q.

Has an issue with a contractor calling in a four-corner ticket for putting in handicap ramps

Emily says Exactix won’t catch that, it’s a retraining issue for the people putting in the tickets

UDIG made up an “extent of excavation” (CR allows that, but it’s not part of the Rule).

There is an issue within UDIG on how to handle this – there will be more to come regarding interpretation.

It would be in the contractor’s best interest to split it up because if one corner is held up, it holds up the whole job!

Driveways should be individual tickets with addresses, not intersection to intersection.

If you’re picking up equipment to remobilize, should that be separate tickets?

There is a locator being harassed by the excavator regarding UDIG.  Mike will get the ticket numbers so Emily can follow up.

The whole property is being called in when only one part of the property is needed.

      Aaron S.

o   Contractors have gone “UDIG said this way” but called it in differently.

They are calling in a whole property when they are just planting one tree in the back yard

Is there a way to check on this?

Emily will check with the Call Center if Aaron can get her the ticket information.

      Anthony L.

o   Has a question on-line but there was a connection issue.

Emily will follow up with him

      Emily

o   Suzanne (I) will be leaving her (my) Secretary and Treasurer positions within the MVDPC at the end of the year.  If anyone is interested, let her know.  The Vice Chair position is also available.

Meeting was adjourned at 11:14 A.M.
