    Hello everyone, here is the weekly quiz. 

    True or False - A ferrous (stick) metal detector sends a signal out that only reflects off iron targets.

     True - 64%

     False - 36% CORRECT

    A trick question! Unlike disk metal detectors, ferrous metal detectors do not transmit a signal. They are just a receiver looking for the natural electromagnetic field coming off iron targets.

    @James Flint interesting! I've noticed there seem to be a lot of people who think metal detectors are still the only tool that's used for utility locating. Obviously not true, but that still seems to be the belief out there.
