Hey CR DPC! I just wanted to send everyone an update about the Halfmoon Trunk or Treat event we discussed at the last meeting. I received some new information about the event after the last meeting. It wasn't a traditional Trunk or Treat where the attendees walked from trunk to trunk. For this one they stayed in their cars and drove through and the volunteers put candy into their bags at the car windows. Given this, it didn't make sense to have multiple DPC members attend. I appreciate National Grids effort to get us a truck though. We will aim to find a traditional trunk or treat to attend next year. I did attend by myself and we did get some good out reach. The adults were actually excited to receive the color code cards as a treat and the children loved the candy. We reached about 3,000 people. I will be returning the extra candy and that will be added back to the DPC budget.
